Her name

...will be Meg Linh Bao Thy Lightfoot

Her Vietnamese name is Bao Thy - pronounced Bow (like how) Thy (likethe letter T)

Linh is a Vietnamese name and honours my husbands mother, who's name is Lynn.

We were told by a Vietnamese family last night that her name means:Precious gem (Bao)and poem (Thy).

I am already calling her Meggie! To Dad and kids she is lil' Meg.

Beautiful name!
I just responded to your post on the Vietnamese Yahoo Group but not sure if it posted. SP is from Vung Tau but not sure if it's the same orphanage. E-mail if you can the name and if it's the same I'll send pics. Do you know if she was in Le Loi hospital at all? I have pictures of that too.

I am just catching up with your blog...congratulations! I had the exact same dream experience while waiting for our daughter, DoriGrace. I documented it on my blog as well because I thought no one would believe me!!

I am so happy for you and your family and look forward to following your journey to Vietnam.

I am happy, that was my vote too.

I asked Loan about the onsies - yes yes yes. They don't have them here, which is why you don't see them in photos, but they like them. It's trouble to always find matching top and pants.

Basically anything you can bring is appreciated and useful. We brought a lot of warm stuff, because of Bev's blog, and even though it's no use for here it will be brought up north.

I'm sure you know already that scabies medicine is needed at Vung Tau, so if you have people looking to donate ask them for that. We were going to bring a case for Dorinda but we didn't connect before we left.

It's going to be fun to "follow" you back here from the comfort of home!

PS just notice I'm signed in as Woody, but this is actually Samantha writing.

Congratulations, I don't think I've posted before but I keep checking in waiting for your referral news. We brought our daughter home from Vung Tau in April 2008. I know there are at least 2 orphanages in Vung Tau. We haven't met so I won't ask for a password. Wishing you speedy travel to your baby girl!
