Somewhere out there

I have heard this song a million times and yet today was the first day it really struck a cord with me. The song is many moons old but I needed to hear this song today. Truth be told, I've been feeling a bit down about the process and all the uncertainties that come along with it. But somewhere out there... is our daughter. The path to her may be very windy and emotional and uncertain at times, but she is there and she is worth it all.
Sometimes it takes hearing an old sappy song to turn your mood around, and bring back the hope required in this journey called international adoption.

Somewhere Out There by Linda Ronsdadt

Somewhere out there
Beneath the pale moonlight
Someones thinking of me
And loving me tonight

Somewhere out there
Someones saying a prayer
That we'll find one another
In that big somewhere out there

And even though I know
How very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing
On the same bright star

And when the night wind
Starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping
Underneath the same big sky

Somewhere out there
If love can see us through
Then we'll be together
Somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true...

Thank you Leslie. I needed to be reminded of that tonight too! Hmmm...now I want to find out where I can get a copy of that so I can listen to it more often.

Thinking of you tonight and praying for you as you wait.
