Books

My new friend Leah (who I met through Facebook of all places) is adopting from Vietnam with the same agency as we are. She is a lovely woman and so helpful with lots of information - a lot of fun to 'talk' to.

About a month back she gave me a list of book recommends and I looked through and added many to my Amazon.ca wishlist. Tomorrow I think I will take the time to order a couple and start the collection early.

For those interested here is my list (taken from Leah's and then I've added a few to it also):

I would also highly recommend (and you might already have these): "If You Lived Here" by Dana Sachs. GREAT novel. "Adoption Parenting" by McLeod and McCrae. The "Bible". And I see that you have "When You Were Born In Vietnam" on your list--hopefully that's on the top of the list! It's a beautiful book. I might be kind of partial to it because Therese Bartlett is our program director, but it really is wonderful! Have fun reading!!!
